Textual content description supplied by the architects. Sumui Home is a renovated artist residence for the ‘Artwork Like Salt’ residency program at Taepyung Salt Farm. The positioning is within the tranquil countryside of the salt farm. The 35-year-old constructing, initially a dormitory for salt farm employees, stood half-ruined alongside a creek and reeds. Whereas changing it to a brand new dwelling for visiting artists, the consumer requested to protect the hint of the outdated constructing as a lot as potential.

The tough and wealthy colours and textures of the area make a deep impression. The salt warehouses over 60 years outdated are lined up alongside the primary street of the salt discipline.
