Textual content description offered by the architects. The design of this undertaking was a journey of discovery. The unique idea was half submerged within the rise of the panorama. Because the idea navigated all of the difficult situations of the positioning/setting and price range, a contradictory technique emerged. There appeared no purpose to cover the constructing within the panorama. It was situated in a rural setting, not in a pure forest. The constructing took on a monumental type of materiality and construction, anchored with unapologetic power of presence into its panorama.

The positioning was predominantly flat with a peak stage change of roughly three meters alongside its northern aspect. That is the place the constructing was set. Aside from the necessity to find the constructing above the flood plain, the orientation of the positioning introduced a design problem. With expansive views throughout native vegetation to the south, the architectural response was to open the home to those views and concurrently create the chance of introducing skylights and courtyards to scrub the inside with northern daylight.
