Textual content description supplied by the architects. The undertaking is situated in Seva, a village in Osona subsequent to the Montseny pure park. The lot, delimited by two streets, is characterised by its triangular form, good orientation and a variety of slope. The shoppers requested us for a home by which to stay in heat, intimate areas, open to the backyard and with low vitality demand. With a view to fulfill the calls for of the shoppers, the undertaking is predicated on two methods. The primary of them is to position the home on the excessive and flat a part of the plot, finding the entry to the north and eliminating pointless earthworks.

The second technique has been to create a structural and constructive system that makes it attainable to create a diaphanous house by which to position the primary components of the home however, on the similar time, to generate intimacy with respect to the neighbouring homes situated on the higher avenue, to the north of the plot. With a view to obtain these goals, a structural system of wood porticos has been created to generate two distinct areas: the moist and closed areas situated to the north beneath a flat roof and the remainder of the areas situated on an inclined roof. The inclined porches modulate a diaphanous house the place we discover the porch, the lounge, the eating room, the kitchen and the bedrooms successively. All of them open to the south and to the backyard, which lets you benefit from the views and the photo voltaic radiation. With a view to emphasize the sunshine construction that helps the home, the ceramic facades that assist us to generate an enormous character and extra intimate with respect to the neighbours, solely attain the peak of the window sills. As a substitute, a big hat as a roof and wood facade turns into the remainder of the home’s envelope. This hat is emphasised each inside and outside the home. Inside, the pine wooden cowl and the skylights separate us from the development facade. Alternatively, on the surface, a ventilated black-tinted wood facade and the roof of black tiles create a hat that appears to drift on prime of the ceramic work.

The bioclimatic design based mostly on photo voltaic seize situated within the south, photo voltaic safety throughout the summer season, using an envelope with excessive thermal efficiency and cross air flow (generated from the primary facade and the skylights that separate us the sloping roof of the flat roof) has allowed us to significantly cut back the vitality demand. For that reason, we’ve been in a position to get rid of cooling methods and revel in thermal consolation in winter by way of a single pellet range. With a view to cut back the CO2 emissions linked to the development of the home (ecological footprint) we’ve opted for the next methods: 1.- Wooden as the primary component in: roof, home windows, inside coverings and facade finishes. All with PEFC certificates. 2.- Cellulose isolation. 3.- Ceramic work fired with biomass. 4.- Protect the present timber.
